About Kristie
My professional journey began over a decade ago when I returned to North East Ohio from Nashville Tennessee. That’s when my husband Roman and I applied what we had learned there and began building custom homes. In addition, Vencill Homes Inc, and Kristie’s Interior Design specialize in home staging, renovations such as finished basements, kitchens, additions, interior decorating, and interior re-design.
My mission is to always find that beautiful, delicate balance between great design and smart functionality. I achieve this by listening to my client’s needs and wish lists, and by using time tested materials as well as incorporating the latest trends and products. My desire is to create a home or space that looks amazing, but one that functions for the family just as well.
Having built 4 personal homes, I come with personal experience about the process. I know first - hand how many decisions need to be made, and how overwhelming it can seem at times! Through this, I have also learned how to simplify the process, and how to make a dream and an idea become a beautiful reality.
Speaking of reality, reality TV has greatly increased the nation’s awareness and desire for a beautifully decorated living space. Shows like The Property Brothers, and Designed to Sell are just a sampling of the kind of shows that wet people’s taste buds for great design. These shows provide people a vision for their dream home, and they also emphasize the importance of presentation when selling their home. Great design has the power to change lives. It truly moves people in the way they feel when they are in their own space.
I want my clients to feel comfortable and inspired in their homes. I desire for them to share their lives with the people they care about, in a home they are proud of. I feel that it is both a blessing and a privilege to do what I do. I believe the Lord has a plan for each of our lives, and I feel confident that He has equipped me with all the skills necessary to make a positive difference in the lives and the homes of my clients. It is my personal goal as a designer to partner with my clients to create a space that they love to come home to. Few things in life are better than the way one feels when all seems right, and true, and cozy in the beauty of their most intimate, and private space - HOME.
