Interior Re-Design
Interior re-design is creating a fresh new spin on your existing space. This is a cost efficient way to spice up your home simply by rearranging furniture and accessories. It is re-using existing items in new ways or in new spaces. Sometimes decorating our own homes is the most daunting of tasks! Kristie has fresh ideas for her clients and she can choose new colors without hesitation.
When it comes to your own home, it seems as though you can't feel confident with any decision. In part, the reason for that is because we are creatures of habit! For example, "We have always had the sofa in front of the windows". We have a hard time permitting ourselves to 'get out of the box'. This is exactly where Kristie's help comes into play. She may suggest things you wouldn't allow yourself to dream up. She will never push a client to do something that they don't find appealing, but many times the things they were uncomfortable with are the things they love most with their new design! Kristie brings fresh ideas to the table with no preconceived notions of how things 'should' be. Interior re-design makes an incredible impact on your space - but not on your wallet!
Home Staging
Staging a home is always cheaper than even ONE price reduction if your house has sat on the market too long. Staging is proven to sell homes faster and for more money. The exact cost for home staging varies from home to home. Some factors that affect cost are: square footage, number of rooms to be staged, and the scale of the decorating and staging needed (from an empty home, to one that is crowded or cluttered). I will normally begin with a detailed walk through and consultation as a starting point. This allows us an opportunity to discuss your home staging needs, timeline, and budget.
My job is to make your job easy and worry free! I can do everything from simple recommendations, to a complete home staging, where you don’t lift a finger. At the end of the day, I want your home to be the one that is remembered the most by a potential home buyer. Keep in mind that people buy homes not only with their heads, but with their hearts. It needs to move them in a way that “feels” like HOME.
New Construction / Design & Decorating
Many times it is assumed that interior decorators are only for choosing colors, curtains, and sofas. However, that is simply not the case! The scope of a professional decorator is much broader than that. Kristie tells her clients who are building new homes that she likes to be involved before the ink on the blue print is dry! This ensures that they have an opportunity to discuss special decorating features like niches, built in book cases, lighting, etc.
Even after the planning stage, building a new home involves literally thousands of decisions. Kristie makes herself available to her clients for all of the decisions they need assistance in making. At the end of the project, the entire home should have a cohesive feel.
